There is a river that's runs between modern day Palestine/Israeland modern day Jordan. That river was called since Ancient TimesAl- Urdon. When the Romans conquered that area …they translated AlUrdon into Latin and soon afterward that area became known likethat. When the name was finally translated into English throughmany languages it was Jordan. The area was known as Transjordan forit was nothing but a desert. When the country was established itbecame known as Jordan. Jordan, the country, was named after the river of Jordan which liesbetween it & Palestine.
He had a say in the designs of them
Because he was a very famous basketball player at the time .. To add on Nike wanted to make another company to expand their sales. They need a star to sell the shoes so they …chose Jordan. MJ had the option between adidas and nike and chose nike.

Michael Jordan never invented anything,he is the most famous Basketball player in the world and was signed by Nike to endorse their shoe brand. His greatness as a player and t…he popularity of the Nike Jordan brand grew together at a very profitable rate. Making him one of the richest professional athletes of all times his endorsement of any product was money in the bank. Besides Nike,he endorsed many products he is still doing Hanes underwear ads long after his retirement from the NBA. I'm sure he had to approve the final version of each MJ shoe but he invented nothing.
Yes he does. He designs them as well. Look at the latest NBA video game commercial, he is wearing his own line of clothing as notated by his autograph in the upper right hand …corner of his shirt.

In Nike Inc
They are just Jordans. Nike owns Jordan and that's why on retro jordans you see nike air a lot. The OG or original jordans had nike air on them and that's why when the Jordan …3 and 4 came out with nike air on the back, it was a big deal.
No. According to international law, no country "owns" a river. The right of navigation on a river is subject to the sovereignty of the river. A river that is entirely within t…he borders of one country is subject to that country's sovereignty. As the Jordan River forms the border between two states, neither can impose sovereignty over the river and, therefore, Israel and Jordan share administration of the Jordan River.
from his famous dunk
The Jordan River forms the border between Israel and Jordan. Therefore, half of the river is in each country wherever Israel borders Jordan to the north of the West Bank. (…There is a small stretch of the Jordan which is wholly in Israeli territory as it leaves the Sea of Galilee and the Jordan River continues as the border between the West Bank and Jordan until the Dead Sea.)
