Did john Wayne ever wear a pink shirt?
I am trying to track down a photo of him (John Wayne) in very brief, tight pink shorts. I saw it years ago. I don't remember the shirt.

Answer . John Wayne was married three times, always to Spanish-speaking brides; to the late Josephine Alicia Saenz, Esperanza Baur and Pilar Pallete. He had four children with Josephine and three with Pilar, most notably the late producer Michael Wayne and actor Patrick Wayne. Wayne is also the …great-uncle of boxing heavyweight Tommy Morrison.\n. \nJohn Wayne passed away from lung cancer. When he was filming "The Conqueror" in Utah where the U.S. government had tested nuclear weapons and even several of the cast and crew got cancer and some died such as actress Susan Hayward his co-star, John Wayne was so patriotic he refused to believe the government could have mislead the producers into believing it was safe to film this movie in the area of the nuclear testing grounds. John Wayne blamed his smoking for causing his lung cancer. Even after his death other surviving cast and crew members blamed the fact of where they were filming on radiation and it was Dick Powell (Actor/Director) that went to the main producer and John Wayne pleading with them to move the production of the movie elsewhere after Dick Powell found out how dangerous the radiation readings were. He was told by both the Producer and John Wayne to keep quiet or get out! (MORE)
Answer . I was told that he wore Lucchese boots, exclusively. I was told this at a boot store in south Washington State and tried on a pair as a result. These are the best looking and most comfortabley pair of boots I've ever worn and I will never own any other brand. I was told that John Wayne s…aid essentially the same thing. I can't verify that Lucchese are the "Duke's" brand, but I could certainly see why he would choose them.. ADDED NOTE by Joe Erwin (email@example.com). It is claimed that John Wayne (also) wore Olsen-Stelzer boots, and I have a pair in size 10.5 or 11 that have "Marion Morrison," John Wayne's real name, stamped inside the shafts. I have not yet been able to authenticate that they were actually his, but it is plausible, as they are the correct size for him (even though some claims are made that he had small feet). These boots are very comfortable--every bit as much as any of my Lucchese boots (I have three pairs and all are really comfortable). Even so, my personal favorite boots are Stewart, made in Tucson. Given that "Duke" was in Tucson a lot (to make movies), I would be surprised if he did not have some Stewarts. They really are excellent boots. (MORE)
No. Although Wayne enjoyed drinking beer and whiskey, usually under social circumstances, he never experienced any uncontrollable alcoholism... at least that anybody knew of. He did, however, portray alcoholics in film, most famously Rooster Cogburn.
Lil Wayne has not revealed the size of his shirts. He is a smallman, so he probably wears a medium to large size shirt.
Yes, during the 1996/97 Champions League campaign, not sure why asin all other competitions that season he wore 18
Neither his 1st or 3rd wives acted. However his second wife, Esperanza "Chata" Diaz Ceballos did appear in a small number of Spanish language films.
If you have a nice jacket that matches or if it is a tightish top wear skinny jeans and pumps with it to dazzle every ones attention... oh and accessorize
depends on skin tone, eye color and hue, along with hair color, If you're a winter you can get away with a crisp white shirt, style depends on the type of pants, if you're an autumn you will probably be able to get away with a slightly lighter shade of pink for the shirt, if you're a summer try a sk…y blue shirt, but if you're a spring try a pink proken up pattern (MORE)
As he was a huge man it could be size no 10.. Most sources list his boot size at 11.
Of course you can! Pink and light blue almost always go together. Try it on- If you don't think it looks good, you don't have to wear it. If you like it, wear it!
I imagine he'll wear the number 10 shirt. He's been wearing it in recent England games so I can't see him reverting back to 9 now. He's more of a number 10 player anyway, 9 classically being a centre forward's number. Rooney's a playmaker so 10 suits him better.
\nNot often but in "The Three Godfathers" he was an outlaw, even though he was portrayed as a good guy.
No. According to the extensive Bonanza guest star list linked below, John Wayne never appeared on the show.
Because he believed it would help with pain relief. Actually, During the filming of Green Berets , the Degar or Montagnard people of Vietnam's Central Highlands, fierce fighters against communism, bestowed on Wayne a brass bracelet that he wore in the film and all subsequent films
John wore a rolex when not in the movies with a black dial. Looked functional not glamerous
Yes. His hair began thinning in the early 1940's and he began wearing a hairpiece around 1950.
Yes they did. In 1953 Cooper was ill with an ulcer and asked Wayne to accept the Oscar, in his place, for High Noon. There is also a studio photo of Cooper visiting Wayne on the set of "Operation Pacific" at the related link below.
because he had that number when he first joined Chelsea and wont change it because of superstitions
Alot of girls wear them. The only boy I have seen wear a pink shirt is my brother. If your trying to figure out what to wear with a pink shirt not a problem. You can wear a bright pink shirt, white shorts gold or pink sandals if not sandals black or yellow flip flops would be my other choice. You ca…n put a white or yellow flower in your hair. Don't wear a yellow flower if your wearing yellow flip flops or sandals. This outfit is mostly for spring or summer. If you live in a colder climate either suck it up wear jeans or Caprice and Uggs. If I'm being to stubborn suck it up I don't know wear you buy your clothes or whats in your closet! Hope this helped sorry if it didn't helped it had to something to your little brain! ( : (MORE)
white shirts are simple and they are not hard to get a hold of. Wayne can simply get out of bed throw on a white shirt, some pants, shoes, and be on his way. someone like him doesn't need all the flashy brands, especially with flashy jewelry.
I don't think so. He quite often wore a red neckerchief but I can't ever remember a red hat.
On any fan sights, or people selling memorabilia of famous stars from the past or present, no one is selling John Wayne signed T-Shirts, only signed pictures, and if you want to pay around £2,250 just for a small picture with a small autograph on it, I suggest you find something else that isn't t…hat expensive. No. By the start of World War II Wayne had been suffering for years from a badly torn shoulder muscle incurred in a body surfing accident that cost him his football scholarship at USC in 1927. He also had a bad back from performing his own stunts during ten years acting in "B" Westerns. Moreover, he… suffered from a chronic ear infection, resulting from hours of underwater filming on Cecil B. De Mille's Reap the Wild Wind in 1941. Had Wayne actually undergone a pre-induction physical, he might indeed have been classified 4-F. According to Randy Roberts and James Olson's top notch John Wayne American , as a married but separated father of four and thirty-four years old in 1942 Wayne was classified by the Selective Service as 3-A (deferred for family dependency). In 1944 as the U.S. Military feared a manpower shortage he was reclassified 1-A (draft eligible). There is no record that he disputed this reclassification but his employer, Republic Studios, did and requested he be given a 2-A classification (deferred in the national interest, i.e., war bond drives, visiting the troops, etc.). Selective Service records for World War II are spotty at best, many having been destroyed, but surviving records indicate these claims were filed "by another," i.e. Republic Studio 's legal department. In fact, a letter from Republic Studios head Herbert Yates threatened to sue Wayne for breach of contract should he leave the studio for volunteer military service, though it is doubtful he would have carried through with the threat. But Wayne was indeed Republic's biggest moneymaker during the war and that studio's only "A" star at the time. (MORE)
jeans with black or brown boots and some funky jewelry! if it's winter what's above if it's summer some shorts and your favorite flip-flops if its spring wear some capris with your fav converce!
no not unless you count a 5 oclock shadow, ot the gotee he wore while playing gingus kahn
He ended up in a horse sale in central Iowa. The sale barn was the Story City sale barn. I saw the horse sell.
The closest I can come is the Fu Manchu mustache he wore in "The Conqueror" (1956). He was also unshaven in "3 Godfathers", and had goatees in "Rio Grande" and "The Shootist".
No, the Duke was a tall man, Six Foot four, no llift brackets needed. Like ( Buck) General Humberto, also technically a Duke or high Prince! Called Buck as he held the titular rank of Brigadier ( lowest General rank) General, one star. I am speaking of the Italian crown prince, not Mr. Wayne.
Probably black shirt because black looks good with pink. For the tie, maybe dark or light grey with a little darker design? The colour of the suit seems to say that the even might be more happy, light and cheerful? If so, maybe no tie. But grey would be a great colour with the black shirt and pink s…uit. (MORE)
John Wayne had three marriages, and seven children were born from these. However, he did not adopt any children.
Not in the western sense. In War ( twentieth century , that is modern, automatic pistols, not six-guns, maybe counterspies , privateer seamen ( modern day pirates, of a sort) but not Gangsters. Wayne was normally a Good Guy at Arms!
Absolutely not. You are only gay if you are sexually attracted tomembers of the same gender.
Standing 1.9 meters tall, Wayne had no need for high heels in his boots. His stage presence as a tall man was quite real. In the 1960s, he did use lifts in his shoes, probably to relieve pressure on his feet due to his weight gain.
Depends on what your usual style is and where you're headed. I would be cautious wearing fishnet stockings because they can easily go from hip to trashy depending on the rest of your outfit.
No, although he helped James Arness land the star part. He also did an ad for this TV series.
He did in private life. Many of his westerns took place before Levi Strauss designed the first pair of jeans.
After many years of struggling,Jonny Wearing, one of the hardest working, sincere, and down to earth human beings Ive ever known passed away in his home in Harper Woods ,Michigan.Jon was always the one in the band that took care of the details. He made certain the equipment was at its best and that his …bandmates were always on time. His voice and passion for harmony were his trademark.Besides The Tidalwaves he performed w/ the Frijid Pink, backed Joe Walsh, performed w/ Dick Wagner,And shared the stage w/ Paul Butterfield,Rationals,Mitch Ryder,Bob Seger and hundreds of other musicians over the years. One of the least known items about Jonny was the affiliation with his brothers Tom and Ricky Wearing in an unknown band called Red Carpet Treatment in the late 60s.Their vocal blend was beautiful.Jonny rest in peace,Jan4,2009 (MORE)
In the Duke's filmography, no character named "Dylan" or "Dillon" is listed. John Wayne was a good friend of James Arness, and, to SOME extent (the amount is disputed), helped Arness get the role of Marshall Dillon in the TV show Gunsmoke .
No. John Wayne's two Academy Awards nominations were in the Best Actor category. His first nomination was for his performance as Sgt. John Stryker in the 1949 action film "Sands of Iwo Jima." He won the 1969 Best Actor for his turn as U.S. Marshal Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn in "True Grit."
Men can wear whatever color they choose to wear. Colors are for everyone in the world not just one gender. Its actually said pretty commonly that 'real men wear pink.'
Absolutely. The only reason I wouldn't let "my man" wear a pink polo shirt would be if the color of his shirt didn't look good with his skin tone. There's nothing wrong with a man wearing pink.
As far as we know from reports and the interviews he gave, there is little evidence that he ever showed any remorse for his crimes. If anything, he showed a lot of contempt for his victims and their families.
The TV show Rawhide has many similarities to the John Wayne film Red River , but that actor never appeared on that show.
At the start of the first episode of Gunsmoke , before we even see James Arness win his first showdown, John Wayne did an introductory promo for the show.
Yes -- he portrayed William T Sherman in a small part of the episode "The Colter Craven Story." He is listed as 'Michael Morris' in the credits.
It was a Montagnard bracelet, given to him while filming the "GreenBerets". He was so moved by the Montagnard people he wore it almostall the time thereafter. It can be seen in many of his films, onhis right wrist. It is a "silver" bracelet with etchings on it.
Wear pink or yellow shoes or any really light color with a pink dress shirt and blue jeans.
Black is obvious, of course. Any shade of gray would be nice. A tweed that includes both black and pink would be perfect.
That rumor was said to have come from a disgruntled co-starCapaccine (North to Alaska) but by most accounts it was untrue. Ifyou look at photos of Wayne from his college days it is obvious hewas very tall.
John Terry has never used the squad number 25. In fact, this jerseywas 'retired' on the departure of the club's most famous 25,Gianfranco Zola in 2003.
